Materials: Where Hope Dwells - Changes in Maps and Routes

From Tijuana, Baja California, on Mexico's northern border with its sister city of San Diego, California, Scalabrinian sister Vitalina Pietrobiasi, director of the Madre Asunta Institute, shares with us where hope lives in her daily work with women, girls, and boys. She addressed the changes that have taken place in migration routes in 2025 and how the time spent in border shelters has now been extended. Previously, Tijuana was primarily a transit city, but now it has become a destination for those seeking an alternative life. In this challenging landscape, Vitalina and her colleagues recognize the dignity of each person, create a community where they build possible futures, and in this way accompany hope.
